We are currently seeking a Backend Developer to join our amazing remote team! 

As a Senior Developer, you will collaborate with our technical leads, designers, and other developers to build a best-in-class experience for our customers. As part of your main responsibilities, you will be creating, updating, and maintaining JSON RestAPI. You will need to understand the business logic underlying the project to build high-quality applications, oriented to security best practices and good-quality code. 

You will be expected to:

  • Have a clear understanding of the scope of the projects and identify potential risks, if something isn't clear or is against development best practices.
  • Transcend the traditional boundaries of the backend, designing and delivering performant, maintainable, and scalable features and services
  • Take ownership of your and your team's code quality. Writing tests is second nature to you and you have a broad understanding of testing techniques
  • Rapidly fix bugs and solve problems for our customers
  • Be open to learning new technology languages and new features

Requirements:

  • Phyton expert: you are an experienced backend software developer with broad back-end programming skills in Python, ideally using Django and Django Rest as the main framework. Experience with FastAPI and Flask is a big plus!
  • Previous experience with other backend languages such as NodeJS (Express and FeathersJS) is also desired
  • Hands-on experience with creating RestApi applications with authentication and security in mind, using the best practices available such as JWT, Open ID, AWS S3, Integrations with third-party services, Linters-Formatters, etc. 
  • You are familiar with SQL and NoSQL. You know how to modulate and create diagrams and models of the database following the business requirements of the application. Experience using ORMs like Django-OMR, Sequelize, and SQL Alchemy is a plus. 
  • Knowledge of version control systems such as GitHub/Bitbucket
  • Knowledge of cloud-based and DevOps technologies and tools (AWS, Docker, etc)
  • Advanced/Upper Intermediate English level desirable
  • Be located in Latin America
